WHO ARE WE?
Restored Anew Ministries or RAM was born out of tragedy. It was early May of 2004 when Nancy Conant lost her vision and was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS). The news hit Nancy and her husband Chris like a ton of bricks. At the onset of the disease, Nancy’s vision had diminished to utter black with a pinhole of light. Fortunately, the steroid infusions were effective, and after several weeks Nancy’s vision was restored.
The doctors administered conventional modalities
for those battling MS. However, Nancy had a severe reaction to the disease
modifying drugs, which made her life a
living hell. A rapid and sharp decline of the disease occurred which eventually forced her into a wheelchair. By 2009, deep depression had set in; hopelessness consumed Nancy, and the disease seemed to define her. During these trials and tribulation, Nancy had simply lost her identity in Christ.
Believing she was nothing more than a burden to her family, she became consumed with thoughts of suicide. Finally, on Easter Sunday, 2009 she acted on that belief and took her own life.
But God had different plans and 15 hours later, He brought her back to life with healing, fresh vision and a brand-new purpose in life. Her identity was restored anew, and she had become firmly rooted and grounded in Christ.
“Only through Jesus Christ are such miracles accomplished!” exclaims her husband, Christ Conant.
Chris and Nancy later wrote a book together, based on their experiences, called Resurrection Monday – The True Story of a Death-to-Life Experience. Shortly after that they founded Restored Anew Ministries. Together, through art and story, they share their testimony worldwide, via television, radio, digital and written media, as well as speaking publicly.
“If God has a plan for your life not even death can keep Him from fulfilling it.” declares Nancy.
